5 Ways on How You Can Travel the Cheapest

Every one of us are dreaming of traveling abroad. But one of the main considerations we have is the cost of traveling.

Can I afford to travel? Good thing my friend, is that you don’t have to wait for you to get rich before you can see the world.

Who among of us never wanted to have a memorable, exciting, yet affordable trips? You must be wondering – what should I do to travel the cheapest?

First of all, let me ask you this – do you really want to travel and explore the world? If your answer is YES, I will teach you how to do it. If NO, then you should not be reading this article.

Assuming your answer is Yes – a big YES, then create a goal that will make way for you to do it. Make it as one of your priorities in life.

With that in mind, here are some of the simple ways you can afford to travel the cheapest:

1. Declutter your life

Have a minimalist life. If you decided that you would like to travel from now on, then you have to identify what your needs and wants are. Once you have identified these, it will be easier for you to buy only what you need. Everything else are extra.

If you started cleaning out some spaces on your house or apartment and minimizing your purchases for unnecessary things, you get to save significant amount for your money for travel.

2. Be Patient on Those Promo

If you were thinking that airline promos are not true, I am telling you now, that they are TRUE and REAL! It requires a lot of patience on finding those airline promos. Usually airlines under low cost carrier category give promos more frequent.

Accommodations also give promos every now and then. Make sure to be updated with all of their bulletins so you will not be left behind. But you have to make sure that for all of these promos, you should have available money to purchase in advance. Nothing more felt bad than seeing promos but was not able to purchase it due to your lack of money available.

3. Travel during lean season

Everything is on sale during lean season. From clothes, housewares, goods, and even for travel. Make sure to check based on your country which months fall on travel lean season. I have lots of instances of traveling during lean season. However, you should be aware of the possible challenges that you might encounter.

Specially that with travel, weather is usually the unpredictable one. There are instances however that even if during lean season, the weather is fine and at its best. So you have to make your way and research weather forecast on your desired destination.

4. Travel with your group of friends

The more the merrier, just what the saying goes. Similar with travel, the more you are in the group, the cheaper the rates are. Especially on accommodations, sharing quadruple or family rooms costs less per head compare to rooms booked for double.

With your travel food cost, ordering group meals also cost less per head. When buying souvenirs, you can also have one souvenir for one friend or family member instead of buying one for each.

5. Ask advice from Travel Agencies

No one knows it better than people who have been working their lives helping people have the best travel they could dream of. Travel agents are the best people to give you advise for all your travel needs. Starting from documentation requirements, tips, most affordable airfare and accommodations, these agencies are the most experienced people you can deal of. Make sure that you are dealing with registered agencies so you will not experience horror stories.

What’s most important in this world is that you get to experience them and make the most out of your life. If that includes traveling the world, by all means, do it! On a personal note, life isn’t about accumulating assets and material things. Life is about living your time in the fullest, by doing things you loved to do!
